A Surrey Biofuel Facility representative will educate and engage visitors on the following topics:

  • What are the parts of the facility and who manages it?
  • How does anaerobic digestion work?
  • How does the facility make biofuel and where does it go?
  • What is the process of making Closed Loop Compost?

Tours will be open for private groups or school classes from grades 3 to 12.


The Surrey Biofuel Facility is located in the Port Kells Industrial Park, adjacent to the Surrey Transfer Station.

Convenient access from South Fraser Perimeter Road (Hwy 17) and the Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1).
